I started Mommy’s Reading Break on November 20, 2012 after thinking about it for months. Hard to believe I’ve been blogging for 6 months already!
In that amount of time, I have posted 59 reviews, gone to my first author signing, and a lot more. I’ve read some great books and met some great bloggers. I really appreciate all my readers and followers, and I hope to continue to read great books and write reviews that you enjoy reading.
Shark Bait by Jenn Cooksey was the first book I wrote a full review about and one of the first ones I posted here. I talk to her sometimes on Twitter, and she’s really cool. She recently released the second book in her Grab Your Pole series, The Other Fish in the Sea, and it was equally wonderful. I think as an indie author, she is easily overlooked, but I think she is an amazing author. So, in order to celebrate my 6-month blogoversary, I am giving away ebooks of her series. The winner will be able to choose between an ebook of Shark Bait or The Other Fish in the Sea. The books are available on both Amazon and B&N, so let me know which device you would prefer!

Thanks! I can’t believe it’s been 6 months already!
Congratulations on your blogoversary! It goes by fast, doesn’t it? I’m glad I discovered your blog — it’s been fun to watch it evolve 🙂
Aw, thanks! I am surprised at how fast it went. Then again, I have 3 kids, so I’m sort of used to how fast time flies!
Congrats!! I’m nearing my 6 months as well! =) i LOVED Shark Bait!
Thanks and congrats to you as well! Shark Bait was awesome. Have you read The Other Fish in the Sea yet? That’s also an option in the giveaway!
I would love a copy of the Other Fish in the Sea I just purchased Shark Bait and can’t wait to read it I have heard so many great things about it. Congrats on 6 months thats great!!!
Thanks! I love Jenn Cooksey’s books. Now if only she could write them faster… lol
[…] What are your top three books you would recommend to other people? Ooh, this is a hard one, since I have read so many great books. Leaving out the older ones that most people have already read (Harry Potter, Twilight, Hunger Games), I think I’d have to go with Divergent by Veronica Roth, Soul Screamers by Rachel Vincent and the Grab Your Pole series by Jenn Cooksey. I really have several, so I just tried to stick with different genres. What’s your proudest blogging/reading/writing moment? I think my proudest moment as a blogger was when I got approved for my first request on Netgalley. It was Gameboard of the Gods by Richelle Mead (which I still haven’t read). Anything else you’d like to share? I have a giveaway going on for my 6-month blogoversary! […]
